As the first month of school has come and gone, Drama Club has already proven to have a busy but very exciting year ahead. Alice in Wonderland, this year’s fall production, is already in swing, with senior Emily Loughran playing the beloved character, Alice. The show is filled with twists and turns, as Alice explores wonderland and the characters within it. You are sure to be “mad” with delight by the end! The show will run from November 15th to the 18th, and tickets will soon be available for pre-order. Drama Club’s vaudeville, vintage take on the 1950s Disney movie will leave you in awe.

While in the thick of preparing for Alice in Wonderland, Drama Club will also have their One Acts! These short 10 minute plays are student written, student directed, and of course, acted by students. This week long preparation starts on October 15th, with the writers coming together and writing the scripts of their short plays. They pick their characters and directors, and from Tuesday to Thursday, the actors and directors will come in from 2:30 to 6:00pm to bring the plays to life! The compilation of these small plays will be performed on Friday, October 19th, at 7pm, and is free!

Other than those exciting projects for the fall season, Drama Club will also be doing Les Mis as their winter musical. Auditions for that will be sometime in December, and the show will run mid-March. In the midst of that, the popular Talent Show will be back again for a second year in February.

And finally, in May, Drama Club will put on their Cabaret, which is a compilation of musical songs performed by the cast. As you can see, Drama Club has another full year ahead of them. Every performance will pull you in and make you feel immersed in the theater, and you won’t want to miss it!
